8 months old

Yeah, I'm actually updating on the 19th! Kinley turned 8 months old today and we had a good day hanging out, taking naps, reading books and eating of course. Here are some pictures of our big girl:

8 Months stats:

Weight - 20.4 lbs (weighed this morning after I fed her)

New things she likes, has done and keeps busy with this last month (February-March):

-Smacking her lips together

-She's gotten so strong and can pull herself up on things

-Standing (w/ a little support)

-Had her first real runny nose cold (during which she made it very evident that she did NOT like her nose wiped)

-New consonants: He, Gee ("gee" is her happy nose. She'll say it when she's doing something she likes)

-Crawling backwards (and ever frustrated that she's not going forwards. But she's SO close!)

-Head banging to the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme song

-Swinging all by herself for the first time

-Taking a bath without her bath chair 

-EATING: Pears, Bananas, Peaches, Broccoli, Oatmeal w/ Cinnamon

-No teeth yet

-Still wearing size 3 diapers

-Clothing sizes: Mostly 6-9 mo, 9 mo or 6-12 mo stuff

-Stillllll likes to be swaddled when she sleeps

-Doesn't like the 6-18+ month pacifiers - so she's kept her 0-6 month ones (though I keep trying on the bigger ones, she's just not having it!)

-Watching a Little Einstein or Micky's Clubhouse episode while mommy showers (though we usually only make it through 5-15mins before she's had enough)

-Infant Massage on her arms and face (as well as her legs, abdomen and chest)

-Has started giving slobbery kisses when we lean in

-Adding some vocab to her baby sign language (apple, change, bath)

I think that about covers it! Onward and upward until next month!
